Comments:

RC: The third Zapp album is more of the same, but it's much less consistent, and there are fewer standout tracks. It's still a good time, though, and certainly worth a listen for Zapp/Roger fans, though I probably wouldn't recommend it for others.

"Heartbreaker" is supposed to be the big dance tune, but it's among their weakest tracks, with little variety. "I Can Make You Dance" is more of what the doctor ordered, with that funky talkbox and standout vocals from Ray Davis. Ray also makes an impact on "Play Some Blues", a more mellow song than Roger's usual blues tributes but still with its own bite. "Spend My Whole Life" is a dull ballad, never Zapp's strongest suit. "We Need The Buck" is a slow tune with compelling lyrics; the bass and singing are both excellent. "Tut-Tut" is a laid-back jazz guitar piece. "Doo Wa Ditty" is a live fragment of the song on the previous Zapp album.

This album is out of print, but shouldn't be that hard to find. It's also available on CD as a Japanese import. The album should cost you no more than $10 or $15 at most, and the CD $20-30.
