Track Listing:
(Note, the "U", "E" and "J" refer to what versions of the 4CD live set
the song can be found on. A "U" refers to the US version, a "J" to
the Japanese version, and an "E" to the European version. Combinations
of those letters simply mean that this same exact version can be found
on that combination of sets. Note that the sets share similar songlists,
but many of the songs are from different times and locations.)

Rating: RC: ****1/2
Comments:MW: Tracks 8 and 9 are incorrectly listed as being recorded from '92. they are actually from a bootleg of a '72 performance, contrary to what the title of this CD ("1976-1993") suggests. Also, "P-Funk (Wants To Get Funked Up) is incorrectly titled on the CD as "P-Funk (Wants To Funk You Up)."
RC: Same basic idea as the U.S. version, except with some entirely different songs, and some of the same songs but from different nights and/or locations. "Maceo, Not Charlie" is a snippet from "Flash Light" that Maceo blows his sax on. "Into You" segues beautifully into "Standing On The Verge". Another pleasant surprise is the inclusion of "Dope Dog", done with the band and not a capella. The best thing from the 1972 set is a scorching version of "I Got A Thing", featuring Catfish with a vicious riff, and George scaring the audience half to death. The set is extremely well packaged, with a beautiful calendar featuring lots of great photos. This may be the best of the three sets; it's also the most expensive. As a Japanese import, expect to pay anywhere between $90-120 dollars for the set.
