Archival Releases, In Detail:
Recent years have seen a tremendous amount of archival material released
from the P-Funk vaults. Some of this is previously unreleased old material
from a variety of Funk Mob acts (e.g. the George Clinton Family
Series), while other examples are discs which are designed to
facilitate sampling of Funk Mob material (the Sample Some Of
Disc... series). A four-disc live compilation, covering
P-Funk from 1972 through 1993, has been released in U.S., European, and
Japanese versions. This section details these albums.
P-Funk "Spinoff" Groups, In Detail:

during or after their stay with P-Funk. Some are produced by Clinton/Bootsy,
some are not. Look here for info on the Brides of Funkenstein, Fred Wesley

Zillatron.

P-Funk Productions, In Detail:

out about albums by "Axiom Funk", Ruth Copeland, Otis Day & The Knights,
Incorporated Thang Band, Jimmy G & The Tackheads, Mico Wave, Our Gang Funky,
the P-Funk Guitar Army, Trey Lewd, and Philippe' Wynne. {Axiom Funk and Our
Gang are both really compilation albums, but were overlorded by P-Funkers}
Non-Core Albums, In Detail:
Detailed info on albums which are most tangentially related to the P.
Some of the artists here were key contributors to the Funk Mob, but
the bulk of their post-P material has not been funk. Albums by
Dennis Chambers, Eramus Hall, Hardware, Shining Path, Human Body (1980's
material), the JB Horns, Kiddo, Maceo Parker, Roger, Slavemaster, Sly
Fox, the Space Cadets, Fred Wesley, and Zapp are described here.
Pre-Funk Listings:
a compendium of work
by significant P.Funk contributors before they actually joined the Mob.
This will include Maceo & the Macks, Maceo & All The King's Men, Fred
Wesley & the JB's, the Ohio Players with Junie Morrison, Human Body,
and whatever else we can think of.
